Happy 8 months!

Ok, this is my favorite picture of her!

Today, Friday the 14th, is exactly 8 months from the day Dakota was born. The time has passed to quickly. We are already 2/3 of the way thru her first year! There are so many things I want to remember about this time in our lives... in her life... that these monthly posts seem to be getting longer and longer! I'll try to keep it sweet.

*We found out she has a cow's milk allergy so she now drinks hypoallergenic formula.
*She learned to wave HI (by cocking her wrist or moving her whole arm up and down)
*She eats solids twice a day. Her diet has expanded to: pears, applesauce, bananas, prunes, peaches, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans(she'll eat these now), squash and chicken w/ apples puree, and rice cereal.
*Big people food she likes: french fries, sliced peeled apples, sticky rice, steamed carrots, cantaloupe, and she just tried bread this week! She also really enjoys these puffed wheel shaped chips that they serve at a local Indian Restaurant.
*She drinks juice and water out of a sippy cup.
*She mimics sounds you make.
*Her first two teeth on the bottom have pretty much grown in.
*She started doing circus tricks on her hands and knees while learning to crawl. She would get in positions such as "downward dog"(for you yoga peeps) and get up on her hands and FEET with her butt straight up in the air.
*LOVES Finding Nemo and anything having to do with water
*Sits up in her baby bathtub
*Has had 3 yeast infections back to back :(
*Her hair is long enough on top to make one little curl down the middle.
*She finally holds her own bottle when she eats!!

AND

*She's starting to CRAWL! She hasn't mastered it yet, but as of today she's crawling about 10 steps at a time. I imagine within the next few days we are going to need to baby proof the house! Yikes!

Doug and I try not to be biased, but we pretty much are both convinced that she is the cutest, funniest, most beautiful baby in the world! :)
