Ok, I'm a day later than usual because she's been so sick. :( Poor baby. She's had diarrhea for 5 days! Lots of laundry I tell ya. But boy is she so cute. I can tell she doesn't feel well when she actually holds still for more than a second! She still weighs about 15lbs 4oz(due to being so sick) and is about 25" long. She is becoming more and more like a little person. We are delighted every day by her blossoming personality.
This month she...
*learned to sit up on her own for the most part
*pulls herself up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth (pre-crawl)
*eats: rice cereal, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots(her favorite), applesauce, bananas, and chicken w/ apples puree
*will NOT eat: anything green, ie. peas, green beans
*cut her first two teeth--on the bottom--which are still growing in
*totally knows the process of preparing her bottle and waits patiently until you shake it all up and then she coaxes and starts diving mouth first for the nipple
*recognizes the bib as a signal that food is on the way
*had her first big people food... a little taste of chocolate and gnaws on apple slices, french fries, and carrots
*is a pro at rolling over and getting around
*scoots backwards from the crawling position
*rests on her side, propped up on her arm like she's ready to do side leg lifts :)
*giggles and laughs more often... loves to pretend to "get" people, especially daddy
*won't hold still for me to dress her or change her diaper
*always rolls to tummy and prefers to sleep on tummy now too
*pops her head above the crib to see you when you enter her bedroom
*her hair on the crown of her head is starting to fill in
*still loves baths and getting naked(hopefully that doesn't continue into adolescence;))
*LOVES LOVES LOVES other little kids...especially boys(another thing to worry about)
*loves baby einstein videos
*likes to sit forward in her stroller
*plays with her feet all the time and pulls her socks off
*knows her daycare and is the only place she doesn't freak out when I leave (too bad we have to switch to new daycare next week :(
*has some separation anxiety and definitely always prefers her mamma
*has not been sleeping well at night due to illness, teeth cutting, rolling around so much in her sleep, and a probable milk sensitivity
*switched to soy formula which seems to have helped the reflux issues
*knows her name without a doubt
*jumps like mad in her Jumperoo
*looks for something when it falls, and looks for the source of noises she hears
*starting to reach out with her arms when she wants someone to hold her
I just can't even begin to tell you how fun she is and how much we adore her! She has got this personality with flare! Already starting with the temper and attitude. But we still think she's a doll. :) She loves to be social, loves to go outside, loves doing anything if both mamma and daddy are there... likes little games like peek-a-boo and "gonna get you"... loves her toys, watching TV, interacting with other young children, being thrown up in the air, jumping like crazy, feeding herself... I could go on and on with all the changing and developing she's going thru. It's amazing. She's wants to be "big" so bad that I know it won't be long before she's crawling and walking!
We are truly madly deeply in love with this girl!
