Look at those beautiful brown eyes and gorgeous lashes!
Oh my, I have got the cutest little girl in the whole world. And I can't believe she is already 6 months old. She got very sick last week and at the doctor's office weighed in at a whopping 15 lbs 10 oz. but we'll see what she is officially at her 6 month appointment.
More to remember:
*She's become very vocal and learned how to roar like a lion
*She can't help but roll to her tummy--it's instinct, she even does it in her sleep
*Her tippy toes finally touch the ground in her Jumperoo and she jumps modestly in it
*She recognizes her bottle and gets excited to eat. She is learning to hold it on her own.
*She sits up well supported (Bumbo, High Chair, or with Boppy) and likes to be part of whatever is going on
*She found her feet and just realized that she can put her foot in her mouth
*She discovered Peek-a-boo
*She giggles out loud from her belly
*She can pull her bink out of her mouth and put it back in (most of the time)
*She will pull the bink out of your mouth and put it in hers
*She eats baby rice cereal(with applesauce mixed in sometimes), baby squash, and baby carrots... she's does not like peas.
*She just graduated to size 3 diapers and skipped straight to size 2 shoes.
*She started new daycare and loves other children
*She still likes to be swaddled but almost always gets one arm out now to sleep.
*When she is on her tummy, she can pivot 360 degrees.
*She knows her mamma and has been very attached to me lately... gets very upset when she thinks I'm leaving her.
*She leans towards people when she wants them to hold her.
*She opens her mouth and leans forward when I feed her baby food, and enjoys playing with the spoon after feeding.
*She gives "loves" by leaning her head against your shoulder or burying her face in your neck.
*She drools like mad and soaks the chest of all her clothes. Doc says he can feel a tooth bud on top.
*She's always got her fingers in her mouth (or anything else she's found).
*Her nose has been running non-stop for the first time and we've yet to find out if its a cold or a tooth!
*She knows how to keep you from giving her oral medicine thru a syringe so I now have to sneak it in her bottles
*She has a firm grip and grasps at anything and everything... just found hair and earrings.
*She always has sharp nails no matter how often I cut them. We are both covered in little scrapes from her grabby fingers.
*She was officially in her first wedding as a flower girl in an adorable baby-elegant outfit at my sister's wedding
*She loves to party and be social :)
*She recently started taking supplemental formula
*When she drops something now, she turns or bends to look for where it went
*She likes to play "shy" and flirts with people
*If we are on the go during her naptime/bedtime, she likes to have a blanket up next to her face to sleep
*She will calm down in her carseat if I just put my arm or hand next to her cheek.
*She still only rolls to her left. :)
It seems like each month my list gets longer and longer... I guess each month she gets bigger and learns more and her little personality develops and becomes more complex. Its so much fun to see her grow each month in every way! I love being a mom!
